Caravan & Camping Park ~ New Radnor ~ Powys ~ Mid Wales
Situated on the Welsh Borders close to the village of New Radnor, The Old Station Caravan Park is easily accessible from the A44, 6 miles from Kington, 14 miles from Llandrindod Wells and 22 miles from Rhayader.
This is a small family run caravan park offering a range of facilities including touring pitches and static holiday caravans to rent and purchase. The caravan park is set on the site of the old railway station and we plan to restore two of the original railway buildings as self-catering holiday accommodation. These will include a number of original features which will be of great interest to railway enthusiasts.
Our facilities also include a new toilet block with showers, all disabled friendly. Other amenities including the local shop and Radnor Arms pub can be found in the village of New Radnor just a short walk away.
New Radnor was once a medieval town which is still overlooked by the mound of the old Motte and Bailey Castle.
There are many local attractions in and around Mid Wales including;
- The Elan Valley Dams at Rhayader
- The bookshops of Hay-on-Wye
- The waterfall at "Water-Break-its-Neck"
- The old Spa town of Llandrindod Wells
The area is excellent for both walking and biking with Offa's Dyke just a short distance away. We can also offer accommodation for various local events such as the Royal Welsh Show at Builth Wells (20 minutes), the Hay Festival (30 minutes) and Brecon Jazz Festival (45 minutes).
We welcome well-behaved dogs and there is a handy woodland walk on Smatcher Hill adjacent to the Caravan Park.
